Norra Paipis skola

Norra Paipis school has three teachers and approximately 60 pupils. The school language is Swedish. Norra Paipis school has pupils from both rural and town areas. Our pupils also have different linguistic backgrounds, which makes both teaching and learning more dynamic. All members of the school community – teachers, staff, pupils and their guardians – together create the positive atmosphere of our school.

The first school in the northern parts of the Paipis (Paippinen) village was founded already in 1908. The old school building is from the year 1910, and it has been most recently renovated in 1981. A nearby ancillary building houses some of our classrooms and the gym.

All schools in the municipality of Sipoo use versatile working methods and teaching aids. Schools encourage the children to express themselves in a positive way, and to take responsibility for themselves and their surroundings. Schools take part in both national and international development projects. All schools in the municipality value peaceful, quiet and safe working conditions, innovative thinking, and an ecologically friendly way of life. Together with the children and the entire school staff, we promote these values every day. The school applies an antibullying program called KivaKoulu.
