Parking and Parking Control

In Sipoo, residential parking is primarily designated on the properties’ own plots. Parking is also possible in public parking areas or on street‑side parking spaces intended for short‑term parking. Parking in Sipoo is free of charge.

Public parking areas may have time limits, which are indicated by traffic signs and supplementary plates. Public parking spaces are intended only for vehicles in traffic use.

Police is responsible for parking control in the public streets in Sipoo. The parking violation fee in Sipoo is 50 euros.

The municipality-wide parking guidelines steer the location and extent of parking both in the existing environment and in connection with new development. The parking policies for the entire municipality were approved by the Sipoo municipal board in 2020. The parking policies are reviewed and updated at regular intervals to best meet the needs of today and the future.
